Respawn Entertainment has released the official 2026 Mythic content roadmap for Apex Legends, covering Seasons 28 and 29. The roadmap reveals several highly anticipated Heirloom and Prestige skins, new event formats, and changes to how Mythic content is earned. Here is everything you need to know.
Season 28 Mythic Releases
Fuse Heirloom - "Knuckle Duster"
The long-awaited Fuse Heirloom is a heavily modified brass knuckle gauntlet with explosive charges embedded in each finger joint. Inspection animations show Fuse flipping the gauntlet, loading charges, and shadow boxing. The Heirloom has unique voice lines where Fuse comments on his new toy with his signature Australian bravado. This will be the first Heirloom released under the new earning system.
Ash Prestige Skin - "Phantom Imperator"
Ash is receiving a full Prestige skin treatment with a Roman gladiator aesthetic. The skin features animated energy patterns across her armor that shift color based on how many kills you have in the current match. Her tactical, Arc Snare, gets a custom animation showing a miniature colosseum cage, and her ultimate portal is reskinned as a gladiator arena entrance.
Season 29 Mythic Releases
Season 29 details are lighter, but Respawn confirmed that Horizon and Crypto are next in line for Mythic-tier cosmetics. Horizon is expected to receive an Heirloom, while Crypto will get a Prestige skin. Community speculation suggests Horizon's Heirloom could involve her NEWT drone in some capacity, though Respawn has not confirmed specifics.
Changes to Mythic Earning
The biggest news in the roadmap is a restructured earning system for Mythic content. Starting in Season 28, Heirloom Shards are being replaced with a new currency called Mythic Fragments. Unlike Shards, which were binary, Fragments are earned incrementally through gameplay, battle pass progression, and event participation. Reaching 500 Fragments lets you craft any Heirloom or Prestige skin currently available. Respawn estimates that a dedicated player can earn enough Fragments for one Mythic item every three to four seasons through normal play without spending additional money.
How This Affects Ranked Play
While cosmetics do not directly impact ranked performance, the battle pass changes that accompany the Mythic roadmap do affect how much time you need to invest. Players grinding ranked may find themselves falling behind on battle pass progression. This is where an Apex Legends boost can help, letting you focus on earning Mythic Fragments through gameplay while our boosters handle your ranked climb to the next tier.
Event Schedule
The roadmap also outlines three major collection events for 2026, each featuring limited-time Mythic content that will not return after the event ends. The first event, themed around a futuristic samurai aesthetic, is scheduled for early April. These events typically offer the best value for earning Mythic Fragments through event-specific challenges and reward tracks.
